When you submit our quote request form, we collect:

- Your answers to the property questions (property type, home age, existing insulation, main concerns, and awareness of government incentives)
We do not collect payment details, national insurance numbers, or any sensitive personal data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Contact you to discuss your free quote and arrange a survey
- Send you a confirmation email acknowledging your enquiry
- Send you an SMS confirmation (where a mobile number is provided)
- Record your enquiry in our internal lead management system so our team can follow up
We will never use your information for unsolicited marketing unrelated to your enquiry, and we will never sell or share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests — specifically, to respond to your enquiry and provide the quote service you have requested. By submitting the form, you consent to us contacting you for this purpose.
5. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your enquiry information for up to 2 years from the date of submission, after which it is securely deleted. If you become a customer, we may retain relevant records for up to 7 years for legal and accounting purposes.
6. Who We Share It With
Your data is stored securely in Google Sheets (Google Workspace) and accessed only by authorised members of The Insulation Company team. We use the following third-party services to process your enquiry:
- Google Workspace — for secure data storage and email
- Twilio — to send your SMS confirmation
- IONOS — our web hosting provider (processes your form submission)
All third-party providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are GDPR-compliant.
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data (the "right to be forgotten")
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Object to processing of your data

8. Cookies
Our quote page uses Google Analytics (GA4) to help us understand how visitors use the site. This uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against accidental loss, misuse or unauthorised access. All data is transmitted over HTTPS and access to our records is restricted to authorised personnel only.
